1) Aspergirls: Empowering females with Aspberger's Syndrome by Rudy Simone
*I bought this book at the recommendation of my psychologist and am so glad I did. It's as if it was written as a manual for me. It describes me and my characteristics to a T! I loved every page of it, highlighted passages (which I'll discuss in further posts), and bookmarked resources which I'll list on this page. It is more for older teens and adult females as it talks about menstruation, sex, and living on your own. It does, however, have advice for girls and parents, which I thought was nice because the advice would have been very helpful for my own parents, had they known I had ASD. The author, Rudy Simone, has Aspberger's herself. She lists other books she's written as well and I have put them on my wish list as her writing is excellent and she interviewed and included stories from other women of all ages on the Spectrum, which was super helpful.
